With free anti-retroviral treatment, people living with HIV can now look forward to a longer and better quality of life. However, this depends on strict treatment adherence and the ability to cope with side effects and acute illnesses.

Samraksha runs Care and Support Centres in Koppal and Karwar, offering psychosocial support and building the capacities of people living with HIV to manage the disease with dignity. We have over 9000 people registered with us and benefiting from our services when needed.

Our centres provide:

• Treatment education and adherence support
• Life-stage counselling
• Referrals and linkages to social support programmes and services

We also extend specialized services such as cervical cancer screening and early treatment, addressing health conditions that disproportionately affect people living with HIV.
